Wild Adventures 2010 Roller Coaster & PlansJack Rabbit Moving to Wild Adventures for 2010
Recently, Wild Adventures announced their plans for 2010 which include 3 new rides.  Wild Adventures will be recieving Scrambler, a flying scooter attraction, and a family roller coaster all from Celebration City which closed last year. Herschend, the park’s owner, is moving the Jack Rabbit (pictures). Also, the park has announced extended hours, 20 concerts, and a 4th of July event including motorcycle daredevil Kaptain Robbie Knievel. He will attempt to jump Wild Adventures’ lake. This is more good news for Wild Adventures. It’s a park Herschend seems to be putting a lot of money and attention into. Read my Wild Adventures Trip Report. Also, read the full press release.

Zombieland Filmed at Wild Adventures
Zombieland was filmed at Wild AdventuresZombieland starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin opened last weekend in theaters nationwide. The movie was partially filmed at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Georgia. Eisenberg was also in  this year’s Adventureland which was filmed at Kennywood. The movie looks funny, in a gory dark humor kind of way.  It looks like Shaun of the Dead, which I loved. According to the Valdosta Times, Bug Out, a wild mouse roller coaster has a prominent scene. Filming took place during nights for two weeks back in February. I’m definitely going to check it out now that I know it was filmed at Wild Adventures.

  1. Thanks! I have been wondering ever since I saw zombieland what park that was in it. Oh by the way zombieland is way more bloody and gorey than shawn of the dead. It also uses alot of bad language but overall it was a funny movie.
