Have You Ridden One of the Fastest Roller Coasters in the World?

I’ve ridden three of the roller coasters that made this list. They are Kingda Ka, Millennium Force, and Intimidator 305. Again, I’d have two more (Top Thrill Dragster and Superman) if they didn’t close just as I was about to ride them.

Watch Theme Park Review take on this 149 mph monster in the video below. Notice how their cheeks are flapping in the wind and how the train sounds like a jet is flying by during the off-ride shots.

Note – This video was filmed by professionals with permission from the park. For safety reasons, please DO NOT take a camera on a roller coaster.

  1. A quick note – I listed Ring Racer as opening in 2013 because that’s when it looks like it was re-opened. I know it initially opened years before that.

  2. The only one I’ve ridden is Phantom’s Revenge. It’s not on the list now but it used to be. Dang, I need to get to more parks up north.

  3. I’ve ridden four – Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force and I-305. Although the rush of adrenaline on the first two is awesome and I love the extreme speed, the last two provide a much more complete and satisfying ride experience. I would never place KK or TTD on my top ten list, whereas MF and I-305 are numbers one and two. By the same token, I’ve ridden I-305 as often as 8 times in one day and wouldn’t have any interest in doing that with KK.

  4. I’ve ridden all of the ones in the US, I-305, MF, Superman:EFK, TTD, and Kingda Ka, with I-305 being my favorite overall. Have to give a special acknowledgement to Superman:EFK for being one of the only rides if not the only ride to launch you BACKWARDS at 100 MPH. It’s a unique experience to say the least.
