I’m looking for people that love roller coasters and want to share their experiences and thoughts on the industry.

Do You Like Writing?

Contributors must write well. If you have any content published elsewhere, please share it in the application or send it to me. While I’ll have writing standards, I’m also going to supply general guidelines. I’m willing to work with anyone that’s open to learning or would like to develop their writing. Just please, don’t apply if you hate writing.

Bottom line: You need to be able to translate your experiences at theme parks and thoughts on industry news into coherent content.

Theme Park Media Trips: There are a lot of great rides and parks that I just can’t cover in person. Ride announcements and openings happen twice a year at parks all over the country and the World! So, media trips to theme parks (while not required) will be encouraged. After your visit, you’ll need to publish trip reports and well-written, in-depth ride reviews when representing the site.

Exposure & Experience: Your writing will get exposure on one of the most visited theme park sites on the Web. Becoming a contributor could be great resume material if writing or digital marketing are related to your career goals.

Be a SME: Become a subject matter expert or showcase your expertise if you’re already an expert. And, if you’re not a “coaster expert”, you should be adept at research and fact-checking. Again, I’ll have guides that’ll help.

Teamwork Will Be a Blast!: Once the team is assembled, we’ll produce some really fun staff content. I’ve got a lot of ideas on how the team could work, but I won’t get ahead of myself. Just know that we will have a lot of fun!
